Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!Posted on Google![]()

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommendPosted on Google![]()

Local Electrician in Bath
What Bath Locals Ask The Most
At MJP Electrical, we pride ourselves on delivering expert residential electrical services in Bath. We understand the unique blend of property types and homeowner needs in Bath. Our dedicated team is committed to providing efficient, safe, and fully compliant electrical solutions tailored to your home.
Lately, it feels like the older wiring tucked behind the beautiful Georgian masonry in Bath is working much harder than it was ever designed to. Modern living asks a lot from a fuse box, especially when you’re juggling high-powered kitchen appliances alongside the growing demand for EV charging points in the driveway. One key part of this is ensuring that your electrical infrastructure isn’t just keeping up, but is actually safe enough to handle the load without tripping or overheating.
And building on that, the shift toward greener energy means many properties are currently outgrowing their original setups. Transitioning to solar or upgrading a consumer unit isn’t just a technical checkbox; it’s about long-term reliability so you aren’t left in the dark during a sudden fault. This is where finding a qualified NICEIC electrician becomes vital for your peace of mind, as certified work ensures that every upgrade meets strict safety standards rather than being a temporary patch job.

This is where MJP Electrical really starts to matter for anyone looking for a straightforward approach to electrical maintenance. Instead of guessing at the cost of a rewire or an EICR, you get clear, honest pricing that respects the unique layout of local properties. If you have a specific question about a flickering light or a planned renovation, sending a General Enquiry is the best way to get an accurate picture of what your building actually needs.
In the end, it’s really about making sure your electrics are an asset to your property rather than a constant source of worry. We focus on tidy, professional installations that settle into your life without causing a massive upheaval.
