Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!Posted on Google![]()

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommendPosted on Google![]()

Expert Electrical Services for Schools & Educational Facilities
At MJP Electrical, we understand the critical role safe, reliable, and energy-efficient electrical systems play in schools and educational facilities across the UK. From primary schools to universities, a well-maintained electrical infrastructure is essential for learning, administration, and the safety of students and staff. We provide a comprehensive range of electrical services tailored specifically for the education sector, ensuring your facility meets all current regulations and operates at its best.
We know that budgets and minimising disruption are key concerns for schools. Our team works flexibly to schedule services at times that suit you, whether it’s during school holidays, weekends, or outside of school hours, to avoid impacting the learning environment.
Just for a moment, imagine flipping a light switch in an older Cotham terrace and having to wait for the glow to catch, or worse, dealing with a flickering circuit that makes reliable internet a secondary thought. Many properties in the area carry the weight of history in their wiring, which means the electrical layout often hasn’t kept pace with how we actually live today. As households pack more tech into smaller spaces, those original circuits can struggle to keep up, leading to tripped breakers and a constant need for “quick fixes” that don’t actually solve the underlying strain.
A big reason for this is the specific architectural age of local buildings, where traditional aesthetics often clash with modern power demands. When you consider that some of these properties double as spaces for Schools & Education workshops or home learning hubs, the need for a stable, high-capacity supply becomes non-negotiable. MJP Electrical steps in to bridge that gap by performing comprehensive EICRs and consumer unit upgrades that turn a temperamental power supply into a dependable foundation for your daily routine.

This opens up a chance to future-proof your home rather than just patching a hole in the present. Our NICEIC Electricians don’t just swap out a faulty fuse; we look at how your property handles a full load, from EV charging points to heavy-duty kitchen appliances, ensuring the infrastructure is robust enough for the next decade. We focus on tidy workmanship that respects the character of Cotham homes while providing the rigorous, certified safety that current regulations demand.
Given all that, you end up with more than just a functional circuit. You get the peace of mind that comes from knowing your home’s internal heartbeat is safe, efficient, and ready for whatever new technology you decide to plug in next. We stick to clear pricing and practical results, ensuring that the heavy lifting of electrical maintenance doesn’t leave you guessing about the long-term value of the work performed.
