Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!Posted on Google![]()

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommendPosted on Google![]()

Typical Small Electrical Problems in Devizes:
Most Common Fixes in Devizes
Even in well-maintained homes across Devizes, small electrical issues can crop up unexpectedly. These minor faults are common and often develop over time due to everyday wear and tear, outdated fittings, or changes in how your home is used. Understanding what can go wrong and why can help you spot problems early and keep your home safe.
Sometimes the smallest flicker or a persistent buzzing sound behind a wall is just an annoyance, but it often signals something larger that needs a steady hand to address. It really comes down to safety and ensuring your home’s internal systems are actually doing their job without causing a headache. A Quick Fix Electrician service in Devizes is designed to catch these outliers before they escalate into full-blown outages or, worse, wiring failures that could compromise your property.
That naturally leads to a focus on reliability rather than just speed. Working as a qualified NICEIC Electrician means MJP Electrical approaches your consumer unit or faulty socket with a methodology rooted in standard compliance. We aren’t just patching over a problem for a day; we are looking at the integrity of the circuit to ensure that your daily routine isn’t interrupted by recurring trips or overheating components.

There are a few things at play here regarding the long-term value of your home. If you focus on this, you can prevent costly overhauls by maintaining your current setup with precise, tidy workmanship. Whether it’s a single light point that refuses to stay on or a bigger need for an EV charger or solar integration, our goal is to provide clear pricing on a solution that lasts.
This shows why it matters to get the job done right the first time. Every repair and upgrade is backed by certified results because a “quick fix” shouldn’t mean a temporary compromise on safety. We handle the technical complexities of rewires and inspections so you can get back to your day with the peace of mind that your power is secure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions here
Quick electrical fixes typically refer to minor, non-emergency electrical problems that can be resolved efficiently without extensive work. This often includes issues like replacing a faulty light switch, repairing a broken socket, diagnosing minor circuit tripping, or addressing specific lighting faults. If you’re unsure if your issue is a quick fix, it’s always best to consult with a qualified electrician.
You should call for a quick fix when the issue is an inconvenience but doesn’t pose an immediate danger or widespread disruption. For example, a single faulty light. If there’s sparking, burning smells, a complete power outage, or any risk of harm, then you need our emergency electrician service. When in doubt, prioritise safety and call us immediately.
Absolutely. All MJP Electrical electricians are highly qualified, experienced, and NICEIC registered, ensuring they are proficient in addressing a full range of electrical issues, from minor quick fixes to complex installations. This guarantees all work is carried out safely and to the highest industry standards, complying with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
MJP Electrical provides swift and reliable quick fix services across the South West of England. Our local teams are ready to assist you in Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Swindon, ensuring that whether you have a minor fault at home or in a commercial property, we can reach you promptly.
The cost for a quick electrical fix is generally more affordable than larger repair jobs, as it involves less time and materials. However, the exact price will depend on the specific issue, the time required, and any parts needed. We ensure transparent pricing and will provide a clear breakdown before commencing any work. Contact us for an accurate quote.
For your safety, we strongly advise against attempting any electrical repairs yourself, no matter how small they seem. Even a seemingly “quick fix” can be dangerous if not handled by a professional. Electrical work should always be undertaken by a qualified electrician to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
We aim to schedule quick fix appointments efficiently, understanding that even minor electrical faults can be disruptive. When you call us, we’ll discuss your issue and endeavour to arrange a visit from one of our local electricians at the earliest convenient time, minimising your wait.
Yes, if you’re experiencing electrical problems but aren’t sure of the cause or if it constitutes a “quick fix,” our electricians can attend to diagnose the fault. We provide thorough fault finding and testing services to accurately identify the issue before providing the most appropriate and cost-effective solution.
