Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommend

Local Emergency Electrician in Bream:

Most Common Fixes in Bream

At MJP Electrical, we’re your rapid response team for urgent electrical issues in Bream. As NICEIC-registered electricians, our local expertise means we’re not just fixing faults; we understand why electrical emergencies are often more prevalent here, allowing us to diagnose and resolve them faster.

The unique characteristics of Bream frequently contribute to critical electrical failures:

It’s hard to ignore that a flickering light or a sudden power trip in Bream isn’t just a minor annoyance; it’s often a signal that your home’s infrastructure is under strain. Whether it’s a tripped consumer unit during a heavy weather system or a persistent burning smell coming from an old socket, these moments demand a quick, competent response. You need someone who treats a late-night callout with the same gravity as a planned renovation, ensuring the immediate hazard is contained without creating more mess for you to clean up later.

A smart way to go about it is to partner with a qualified NICEIC Electrician who understands the specific safety standards required for modern residential properties. MJP Electrical handles these high-pressure situations by providing a steady hand and clear communication. Instead of guessing at the source of a fault, our team arrives ready to diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs, and get your electricity back to a safe, stable state.

Frequently Asked Questions

An electrical emergency means any situation where there is an immediate risk of harm to people, damage to property, or significant disruption to essential services. This includes complete power outages, burning smells from outlets, flickering lights that indicate a serious issue, exposed wires, or sockets that are sparking. If you suspect an emergency, it is always best to contact a qualified electrician urgently.

We understand the urgency of electrical problems. Our local emergency electricians are strategically positioned across Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Swindon, aiming to respond to urgent call-outs as quickly as possible. When you contact us, we’ll provide an estimated arrival time and guide you on immediate safety steps.

Absolutely. All MJP Electrical emergency electricians are highly qualified, experienced, and hold the necessary certifications, including being NICEIC registered. This ensures our work meets the highest safety and regulatory standards, including BS 7671 wiring regulations. We are also fully insured for your peace of mind.

MJP Electrical provides comprehensive emergency electrical services across the entire South West of England, including major areas like Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Swindon. Our local teams ensure prompt and reliable service wherever you are within our service regions.

We strongly advise against attempting to resolve an electrical emergency yourself. Electrical work can be extremely dangerous if not handled by a qualified professional. For your safety, always switch off the main power supply if safe to do so, and then contact a professional emergency electrician immediately.

Our expert emergency electricians are equipped to handle a wide range of urgent issues, from sudden power loss and tripping circuits to faulty wiring, urgent lighting repairs, and issues with consumer units. We diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely. We also offer planned services like consumer unit replacement to prevent future emergencies.

The cost of an emergency call-out can vary depending on the nature of the fault, the time of day, and the parts required. We believe in transparency and will provide a clear explanation of charges before any work commences. Please contact us directly for an immediate quote based on your specific situation.

If it’s safe to do so, switch off your main electricity supply at the consumer unit. Avoid touching any exposed wires or faulty appliances. Ensure children and pets are kept away from the affected area. If there’s a smell of burning or smoke, evacuate your property and call the fire brigade in addition to MJP Electrical.
