Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommend

Local Emergency Electrician in Stow-on-the-Wold:

Most Common Fixes in Stow-on-the-Wold

At MJP Electrical, we’re your rapid response team for urgent electrical issues in Stow-on-the-Wold. As NICEIC-registered electricians, our local expertise means we’re not just fixing faults; we understand why electrical emergencies are often more prevalent here, allowing us to diagnose and resolve them faster.

The unique characteristics of Stow-on-the-Wold frequently contribute to critical electrical failures:

It’s interesting to think about how quickly a single faulty circuit or a sudden power surge can turn a peaceful evening into a logistical headache. When the lights go out or a socket starts behaving erratically, the immediate priority is safety and restoration rather than some long-winded explanation of the fault. You need someone who can arrive promptly in Stow-on-the-Wold and identify the source of the friction without causing further mess or damage to your interior.

If you look a bit closer at the aging infrastructure in many local properties, you might notice that older wiring often struggles to keep up with modern demands like high-draw appliances and tech setups. This makes it pretty clear that you need a NICEIC Electrician who understands the nuances of different building ages. MJP Electrical approaches these repairs by focusing on the root cause, ensuring that an emergency fix isn’t just a temporary bandage but a stable solution that protects your property’s integrity.

This shows why it matters to have a clear price structure when things go wrong. MJP Electrical removes the guesswork from the repair process by providing transparent costs and tidy results every time. We handle the technical heavy lifting so you can get your routine back to normal as quickly as possible, focusing on practical outcomes that keep your household running smoothly.

An electrical emergency means any situation where there is an immediate risk of harm to people, damage to property, or significant disruption to essential services. This includes complete power outages, burning smells from outlets, flickering lights that indicate a serious issue, exposed wires, or sockets that are sparking. If you suspect an emergency, it is always best to contact a qualified electrician urgently.

We understand the urgency of electrical problems. Our local emergency electricians are strategically positioned across Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Swindon, aiming to respond to urgent call-outs as quickly as possible. When you contact us, we’ll provide an estimated arrival time and guide you on immediate safety steps.

Absolutely. All MJP Electrical emergency electricians are highly qualified, experienced, and hold the necessary certifications, including being NICEIC registered. This ensures our work meets the highest safety and regulatory standards, including BS 7671 wiring regulations. We are also fully insured for your peace of mind.

MJP Electrical provides comprehensive emergency electrical services across the entire South West of England, including major areas like Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, South Wales, and Swindon. Our local teams ensure prompt and reliable service wherever you are within our service regions.

We strongly advise against attempting to resolve an electrical emergency yourself. Electrical work can be extremely dangerous if not handled by a qualified professional. For your safety, always switch off the main power supply if safe to do so, and then contact a professional emergency electrician immediately.

Our expert emergency electricians are equipped to handle a wide range of urgent issues, from sudden power loss and tripping circuits to faulty wiring, urgent lighting repairs, and issues with consumer units. We diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely. We also offer planned services like consumer unit replacement to prevent future emergencies.

The cost of an emergency call-out can vary depending on the nature of the fault, the time of day, and the parts required. We believe in transparency and will provide a clear explanation of charges before any work commences. Please contact us directly for an immediate quote based on your specific situation.

If it’s safe to do so, switch off your main electricity supply at the consumer unit. Avoid touching any exposed wires or faulty appliances. Ensure children and pets are kept away from the affected area. If there’s a smell of burning or smoke, evacuate your property and call the fire brigade in addition to MJP Electrical.
