Friendly and professional service from Alan the electrical engineer. Replaced under cabinet lights in kitchen and replaced outdated PIR outside light. Clean, tidy workmanship and respectful of my property. Also spotted an issue with current fuse box which is now outdated and sent a comprehensive quote for replacement at later date. I was very happy with the care and quality of work today. Plus I was impressed with the customer service from Jordan with great communications from start to finish. Thank you!

I was quoted over £200 for a small job that ultimately cost me £80 using another electrician, but that's not what my 1 star review is for - if MJP Electrical Services want to extort customers that's up to them and I'm sure their customer base will respond accordingly. The 1 star is because I've subsequently received a reminder by both email and SMS every single day for last week badgering me to accept their quote!!

Great service from MJP in the Withywood area. They provided all the information via email and worked with me to determine the best options for what I needed. I had a new fuse board installed, 2 new sockets and all other sockets brought up to safety standard for a reasonable price. They also performed an EICR inspection and booked me in within a few days. Our electrician Daniel was very friendly and completed everything in one day and cleaned up afterward. Fantastic job all round. I would use their service again and recommend them. Edit: I returned to MJP after one of my light bulbs ripped off leaving exposed wires. They came out on the same day as an emergency to fix it. Once again, great work I would recommend

Solar Panels in Nailsworth

Lower Your Bills and Increase Energy Independence

Looking to upgrade your home’s electrics or need urgent repairs? MJP Electrical delivers reliable, fully certified electrical services for homeowners and landlords in Nailsworth. From complete house rewiring to consumer unit upgrades and emergency callouts, our experienced electricians ensure your property is safe, compliant, and running smoothly.

It’s interesting to think about how much energy a standard property consumes when nothing is being actively used in the house. Most people focus on the big appliances, but the steady drain of background systems is what makes modern utility bills so difficult to manage. Transitioning to Solar PV Installation & Storage allows you to redirect that constant demand toward your own roof. Instead of pulling power from the grid during the day, your system captures what it can, while the storage component ensures that the energy you generated at noon is still there to power your evening lighting or those late-night chores.

Even so, the transition to a self-sustaining energy setup requires more than just mounting panels on a roof. It involves a complete rethink of how your home’s electrical infrastructure handles heavy loads. As an experienced NICEIC Electrician, MJP Electrical looks at your current consumer unit and wiring to ensure your home is actually prepared to receive and store that power safely. We avoid the “one-size-fits-all” approach by assessing your specific usage patterns in Nailsworth to determine the right balance of panels versus battery capacity.

There’s something a bit different going on when you prioritize long-term ROI over quick fixes. We focus on the longevity of the hardware and the reliability of the installation, ensuring that the system doesn’t just work today but remains efficient for years of service. Our goal is to provide clear pricing and tidy workmanship that results in a seamless integration of green technology into your daily life. That pretty much sums up how we approach the project: providing a practical, certified way to lower your overheads while making your property more energy-independent.

Solar panels allow you to generate your own renewable energy, reducing electricity bills and your carbon footprint. They also increase property value and provide long-term savings by protecting you from rising energy costs.

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic (PV) cells. This electricity can be used to power your home or business, with any excess energy stored in a battery or exported back to the grid.

Most properties are suitable for solar panels, but factors such as roof orientation, angle, shading, and available space can affect efficiency. A professional assessment can determine the best setup for your property.

Solar panels typically last 25-30 years or more. Regular maintenance and inspections can help ensure they continue to operate efficiently throughout their lifespan.

In most cases, solar panel installations are considered permitted development and do not require planning permission. However, exceptions may apply for listed buildings or properties in conservation areas.

Savings depend on factors such as system size, energy usage, and local electricity rates. On average, solar panels can significantly reduce energy bills and provide a return on investment within a few years.

Yes, energy storage systems (batteries) can be installed alongside solar panels to store excess electricity for use during the evening or on cloudy days, increasing your energy independence.

Solar panels require minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning to remove dirt and debris, along with periodic inspections to check for damage or inefficiencies, will help keep your system running smoothly.
